Tagliatelle with Pink Sauce Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 250g tagliatelle pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    • Add the tagliatelle pasta and cook until al dente according to the package instructions.
    • Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
    • Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
    • Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Add Tomatoes:

    • Pour in the crushed tomatoes and bring the mixture to a simmer.
    • Cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  4. Make it Creamy:

    • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream.
    • Let it simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce:

    • Add the cooked tagliatelle to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the pink sauce.
  6. Finish with Cheese:

    • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
