Ingredients:
- 250g tagliatelle pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the tagliatelle pasta and cook until al dente according to the package instructions.
- Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce:
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Add Tomatoes:
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Make it Creamy:
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream.
- Let it simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Combine Pasta and Sauce:
- Add the cooked tagliatelle to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the pink sauce.
Finish with Cheese:
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve:
- Transfer the pasta to serving plates and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
